Minerva Marine is a young Shipmanagement Company, which operates a fleet with an average age of 4,5 years. Minerva is genuinely a Tanker Company operating only Tanker vessels.
The Company started as an off-spring of Thenamaris operating from inside its parent company for about 1,5 years until it moved in 1998 to its newly constructed own offices in Voula, Athens. At that time the management of eight vessels was transferred and a skeleton staff followed the new Company.
Since early 1998 Minerva has engaged in a moderately heavy new building program which was completed in the year 2000. In the same period it has been equally active in the 2nd hand purchase market mainly of Aframax Tankers.
The Company has an integrated management structure and is completely independent of outside services. Each department within the Company has precisely defined tasks and all departments liaise on a daily basis to achieve the best possible operational result.
There are implemented Safety Management and Plan Maintenance Systems closely monitored internally and externally (SMS) and an active Emergency Response Team meeting twice a week (Operational and Safety Meeting).
